Breakfast
Cold cereal with milk

Dinner
Chili

Recipes:

CHILI
1 Tbs. vegetable oil
1/2 lb. ground round
1 large onion, chopped
1 green bell pepper, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 Tbs. ground ancho chile pepper
2 pinches cayenne pepper
a tiny pinch of cinnamon
1 tsp. ground dry mustard
1 tsp. ground cumin (optimal, but I didn't have it this time)
1 large tomato, chopped
15-oz. can pinto beans, with liquid
15-oz. can red kidney beans, with liquid
a bean can's worth of water
3 Tbs. tomato paste

Saute the meat in the vegetable oil, breaking it up as you cook. Add the onion, green pepper, and garlic, and cook with the lid on, opening it occasionally to stir, until vegetables are soft. Add spices and stir, still cooking.
Add remaining ingredients, stir, and cook on low heat with the lid on about one hour.
