Green pepper and onion marinara sauce

Recipes:

GREEN PEPPER AND ONION MARINARA SAUCE
2 Tbs. olive oil
1 onion, chopped
1/2 green bell pepper, sliced
2-3 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 tsp. dried basil
1/2 tsp. dried oregano
1/4 tsp. dried red pepper flakes
1/4 tsp. dried fennel seed, chopped fine
a couple of grinds of black pepper
1 tsp. sugar
an 8-oz. can tomato sauce
a 15-oz. can diced tomatoes

In a medium saucepan, saute onion, bell pepper, and garlic in olive oil until soft. Halfway through the sauteing time, add the herbs, spices, and sugar.
Add tomato sauce and tomatoes and simmer until flavors are blended.
